On Sunday, September 29th, KYC’s Lightning Fleet is hosting an after sailing barbecue and inviting all club
members to come and enjoy an afternoon at the club.
The bar will open at 2:30 and we plan to start the barbecue around 4, after all the boats are back on
land, and sunset is a 6:54p.m.
Both Environment Canada and The Weather Network are showing a stretch of sunny fall days coming up
so come and enjoy the deck, have a casual dinner and socialize with other members.
The race is the Lawrance Cup, it starts at 12 noon and boats are expected to start to arrive back at KYC
around 3ish. According to the race information, “This is anything goes race around the bell buoy. Add a
spinnaker, add another sail, increase the size of your sails. You can even paddle if you want.”
