Laser & Pico Orientation

Paddle Orientation

The KYC Co-op is a popular part of our club which offers use of a variety of watercraft to members without the cost of buying and storing your own equipment.

Members can enjoy sailing, paddle boarding, or kayaking on their own schedule during days or evenings.

The co-op is a volunteer based program, each member of the co-op is expected to participate in the upkeep and maintenance of the equipment. All Co-op members must agree to the co-op rules, and participate in a mandatory orientation before the use of the equipment.

All Co-Op members must follow the Co-op Member Rules .

  • Membership is very affordable. Only $150 + G.S.T. per year (plus 5 additional co-op specific work hours)
  • Sail a Cal20, Laser, or 420
  • A great way to improve your skills if you are a new sailor or paddler or a little out of practice
  • Meet other members, enjoy the camaraderie of sailing and paddling in a club

To join the Co-op please e-mail us at coop@kitsilanoyachtclub.com or call the club manager at 604 730-1646.

For use of the paddle-boards and kayaks, the co-op paddle orientation costs a one time fee of $50 for an hour of instruction. Sailing certification is available separately.

Please note you must both pay the annual co op fee and do the annual season orientation before any co-op equipment can be used.

If you believe that you are a proficient user of the equipment,

please discuss with the club manager prior to using any equipment.
