1) Summer Splash (ages 6-9):
This camp runs from 9am through 3:30pm and is for children aged 6-9 who are curious about sailing and want to have fun with their siblings and friends new and old while learning about water safety and non-motorized watersports. There will also be a variety of land-based games and activities.
Children will learn:
- water safety using SUP, kayaks, and sailboats
- how to comfortably and safely balance, sit in and move around in a sailboat, as well as
- how to steer, trim the sail and tack (turn) the sailboat, building skills to become a passionate sailor for life!
- Children who are passionate sailors can also register in our Learn to Race camps and/or graduate to our Opti Race Team!
$375 for non-Members and $335 for Members, plus GST
2) Summer Sail (ages 10-15):
Designed for 10-15 year olds, this full day (9am-3:30pm) camp includes sailing in Optimists and/or Picos, kayaking and/or paddling, as well as fun land-based activities.
Children will learn:
- water safety using SUP, kayaks, and Optimist and Pico sailboats
- how to comfortably and safely balance, sit in and move around in a sailboat, as well as
- how to steer, trim the sail and tack (turn) the sailboat, building skills to become a passionate sailor for life!
- Children who are passionate sailors can graduate to our Learn to Race Camp!
$375 for non-Members and $335 for Members, plus GST
