Lawrance Cup Race

This Sunday our annual Lawrance Cup race takes place. It's an anything goes race around the Point Grey bell buoy and back to KYC. Sailing instructions and Notice of Race are available here.

Class rules do not apply with exception for the Martin 242 fleet and the Cal 20 fleet, so you can add a sail, add a spinnaker, or increase the size of your sails. All paddlers are also invited to race. Right now the conditions look ideal, plenty of sunshine and a westerley is likely, we will have a better idea of the forecast on Friday.
 
We prefer all competitors register by filling out the registration form at the KYC office. Registration from 1000 Sunday at the club and the race starts at 1200 from the KYC pier. Registration is also available between 1000 and 1200 on Saturday the 28th.
 
We are expecting participation this year from the Martin 242's, Lightning Fleet, and the Cal 20's, and other fleets. For those of you in the co-op please remember you can use co-op vessels to compete in the race. We will have a safety boat on the water during the race.
